Town Center residents weren’t afraid to bear the cold as they hopped on board a hay-filled wagon to tour Verhage Apple Orchards in Oshtemo, Michigan. The wind was biting, but the colors and smells of the trees more than made up for the cold. After picking a few apples we visited the cider mill where we were treated to a demonstration of how apples are freshly pressed to make the delicious cider sold by the farm. There is nothing tastier than the fresh juice of Golden Delicious coming straight into your cup from the press! Our final stops were in the barn to say “hello” to a few animals, and then to the pie and doughnut shop for some treats to take home!
