On Sunday, April 13, Mother Nature gave the state of Michigan a break and blessed us with sunny weather for an Easter Egg Hunt in our courtyard. Hosted by the local Quota Club, (an organization dedicated to serving hearing impaired children), we stuffed nearly 800 plastic eggs with candy and hid (or rather distributed) them throughout the three levels of our interior courtyard. Residents, associates and parents enjoyed coloring, blowing bubbles and playing various other games with their children and grandchildren, but, of course, the big hit was filling those bags with candy-filled eggs. The Easter Bunny also made an appearance, visiting with children, taking photos of residents with their families, and even stopping in The Gardens to put a smile on the residents faces there! Thanks to the Kalamazoo Quota Club for putting on such a lovely event for us!
